The Exchange
The Exchange, located in the Cannon Welcome Center, serves our students, faculty, and staff with mailing and shipping services, textbook support, parking permits, and employee keys.
Hours of Operation
The Exchange is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–noon and 1–5 p.m.
Holiday Closings
The Exchange is closed during all college holidays and closures.

Student Package Pickup
- All student packages are available for pickup at The Exchange during normal hours.
- tudents will receive an email notification from The Exchange when a package is processed and available for pick up. Please note that after your package is scanned as delivered by the carrier, it may take 24–48 hours (longer on weekends and holidays) for it to arrive on campus and be processed for pickup.
- Students must also show their 91探花 photo ID when picking up a package.
Faculty and Staff Package Pickup/Delivery
The Exchange is for official college business use only. Employees are not permitted to use The Exchange for receiving personal mail or parcels.
The packages from USPS, UPS, and Federal Express are delivered to The Exchange where faculty and staff may pick them up. An email from The Exchange will be sent when the package has been processed and is available for pickup.
Mailing and Shipping Services
- Please note: All packages must come from a carrier such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL. Campus Mail does not accept food deliveries from vendors such as Instacart or Doordash.
- Outgoing departmental mail should be dropped off at The Exchange no later than 3 p.m. for delivery to the Banner Elk USPS by 4 p.m. Items dropped off after 3 p.m. are subject to next-day mailing.
- Packages with pre-paid shipping labels may be dropped off at The Exchange for shipping via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. We extend this service to faculty and staff as a courtesy.
eCampus Rental Textbooks
- Textbooks that are not delivered to residence halls prior to the first day of class will be available for pick up at The Exchange. An email notification will be sent if you have textbook(s) available for pick up at The Exchange.

Parking Permits
- Parking Permits that are not picked up during move-in will be available for pickup at the Exchange.

Employee Keys
An email notification will be sent when employee key requests have been filled and key(s) are available for pickup at the Exchange.
Amazon Lockers
- Amazon Lockers provide you with a self-service delivery location to collect your Amazon.com packages.
- There are two Amazon Locker Hubs on 91探花 campus. Students, faculty, and staff may order to the lockers if their Amazon purchase meets .
- Locker hub AJA is located on North Campus in the Cannon Welcome Center.
- Locker hub TEE is located on South Campus in the Cannon Administration Building.
- Access to the lockers is Sunday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
- Items ordered to the lockers must be picked up in three days or they will automatically be returned to Amazon.
