These tips from Orientation Leaders will help you get the most out of your Orientation session

Summer orientation for incoming Bobcats is right around the corner, and with the first two-day session starting on July 13, now is the time to begin preparing for this first step of your college journey. Orientation is a bridge between committing to and attending Lees-91探花 and is your chance to get acquainted with the place, people, and community that will be your home for the next four years.

Spots are still available for from Tuesday, July 15–Wednesday, July 16, and from Thursday, July 17–Friday, July 18, so don’t miss this chance to kick off your Bobcat journey right.

Throughout Orientation, your Orientation Leaders will guide you through everything you need to know about Lees-91探花. These are students who are passionate about being Bobcats and eager to share their expertise with incoming students. Correa is a senior Pre-Veterinary Medicine major with a minor in Wildlife Rehabilitation. This is her third summer as an Orientation Leader.

Laci Wiley

Wiley is a senior double-majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. This is her third summer as an Orientation Leader.

  • Take lots of photos of campus and your dorm to familiarize yourself with the area.
  • Pay attention and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Learning about the school is why you’re here!
  • Participate in the games; they are fun and help you get to know your peers.

  • Learn about the academic programs you are interested in and introduce yourself to those professors.
  • Know that everyone is in the same boat; don’t be scared.

Belcher is a junior majoring in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Forensic Psychology. This is his second summer as an Orientation Leader.

  • Don’t over prepare; coming in with an open mind is the best thing you can do.

  • Know that your OL is there to support you if you get overwhelmed.
