Lees-91探花 partners with Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy on new Memorandum of Understanding
In the latest expansion of the college’s partnerships with North Carolina schools, 91探花 has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, a college-preparatory charter school based in Rutherford County.
“One of the main goals of the partnership is to get more of their students and faculty to visit our campus and increase their overall awareness of what we offer. Some of the specific academic programs that we will be highlighting include our Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Rehabilitation, Theatre Arts, and Business Administration programs,” Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management Kevin Phillips said. “We look forward to working together to help their students achieve future success.”
Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) is a K–12 public charter school that focuses on classical education and college preparation. TJCA particularly specializes in the fine arts and sciences, which aligns with the educational focus of Lees-91探花.
The MOU gives TJCA students the opportunity to visit campus and engage with Lees-91探花 faculty, staff, and students through programming exchanges that focus on exposing them to the hands-on and experiential education Lees-91探花 is built upon.
In addition to the experiential aspects of the agreement, this new MOU also establishes a $1,000 scholarship for all graduates of TJCA who choose to enroll at Lees-91探花 following graduation. The scholarship will be available to all TJCA graduates who are accepted to Lees-91探花 through the traditional application process.
“We’re incredibly excited for our students here at TJCA to have the opportunity to further their experience with a college like Lees-91探花. Not only will our students benefit from new financial incentives through the partnership, but they’ll have the opportunity to visit campus and engage with faculty and students and explore the growing number of unique opportunities that Lees-91探花 provides,” TJCA Senior Director of Business and Programs Steven Jones said. “This partnership is a game changer for us.”
